Description: The Spike protein is a type I membrane protein and functions in adhesion to host cells, where it binds to Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2). The amino terminal region folds to a globular shape, forming the characteristic spike structure and contains the binding site for ACE2. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
