Description: 5HT5A receptor is a G protein coupled receptor (GPCR) in the serotonin receptor family. HT receptors interact with the neurotransmitter and peripheral signal mediator serotonin. In particular, 5-hydroxytryptamine (5HT) receptors mediate the effects of serotonin in its role as the endogenous ligand and in pharmaceutical and hallucinogenic drugs. In addition, 5HT receptors affect the release and activities of other neurotransmitters such as glutamate, dopamine, and GABA. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: >1:100 Immunohistochemistry: 1:100-1:300 in PBS/0.03% Triton X-100 – Bn/Av-HRP Technique Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Rat cortex and hippocampus. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C.
