Description: The protein encoded by this gene contains a SH2 domain and a SOCS BOX domain. The protein thus belongs to the suppressor of cytokine signaling (SOCS), also known as STAT-induced STAT inhibitor (SSI), protein family. SOCS family members are known to be cytokine-inducible negative regulators of cytokine signaling. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 10ug/ml Immunoprecipitation: 3-5ng labels 1e6 cells Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
