SLC1A5 (Solute carrier family 1 member 5, Neutral Amino Acid Transporter B(0), ASCT2, Sodium-dependent neutral amino acid transporter type 2)
SLC1A5 (Solute carrier family 1 member 5) is a member of the Na(+)-dependent amino acid transporter superfamily. It has a broad substrate specificity, a preference for zwitterionic amino acids and a dosium-dependence. It accepts as substrates all neutral amino acids, anionic amino acids and cationic amino acids. It acts as a cell surface receptor for feline endogenous virus RD114, baboon M7 endogenous virus and type D simian retroviruses.

Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Western Blot: 1:50-1:100
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
