Somatostatin Receptor Type 4 (SSTr4)
Description:
SSTR4 is a Somatostatin Receptor for somatostatin-14. This receptor is involved in arachidonate release and in the mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase cascade. SSTR4 mediates the antiproliferative action of somatostatin in tumor cells. SSTR4 has been reported to be expressed in brain, gastrointestinal tract, pancreas, and prostate tissues. No ESTs have been identified.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 3-17ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
