Source: Recombinant corresponding to 68aa from mouse Stromal Cell Derived Factor 1 alpha expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~7.9kD Biological Activity: Determined measuring dose-dependent chemotaxis with human peripheral blood monocytes. A concentration range of 50-100ng/ml produced significant chemotaxis. SDF-1 is a CXC chemokine that binds to the chemokine receptor CXCR4. SDF-1 is widely expressed by cells of most tissues, including bone marrow stromal cells. SDF-1 is a chemoattractant for mononuclear cells and CD34+ hematopoietic progenitor cells. Endotoxin: ~0.1ng/ug Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Molecular Weight: ~7.9kD |
Purity: ~99% (SDS-PAGE, HPLC) Concentration: Not determined Form: Supplied as a lyophilized powder in 10 mM acetic acid, carrier free. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O to 0.1-1mg/ml. Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
