SDF-1 is small cytokine belonging to the chemokine family that is officially designated Chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 12 (CXCL12). SDF-1 is strongly chemotactic for lymphocytes and works by its receptor CXCR4. The SDF-1+CXCR4 complex plays a significant role in the creation of metastases of neoplasms and as a response to cytostatic treatment. Identification of this complex may be a useful prognostic factor in the therapy of many types of carcinoma. Source: Recombinant human SDF-1, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli. Sequence of amino acids: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MKPVSLSYRC PCRFFESHVA RANVKHLKIL NTPNCALQIV ARLKNNNRQV CIDPKLKWIQ EYLEKALNKR FKM Endotoxin Level: 1EU/ug Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and freeze at 20 or 70°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Molecular Weight: 10.8kD |
