Description:
SUN1 and SUN2 are inner nuclear membrane (INM) proteins that play a major role in nuclear-cytoplasmic connection by formation of a 'bridge' across the nuclear envelope, known as the LINC complex, via interaction with the conserved luminal KASH domain of nesprins (e.g., SYNE1) located in the outer nuclear membrane (ONM). The LINC complex provides a direct connection between the nuclear lamina and the cytoskeleton, which contributes to nuclear positioning and cellular rigidity.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Western Blot: 1:1000-1:10,000
Immunohistochemistry: 1:250-1:500
Immunocytochemistry: 1:50-1:10
Immunoprecipitation: 1:10-1:100
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
