Description: Testosterone is used for growth-promoting purposes in cattle as an subcutaneous implant in the ear, in combination with estradiol or its esters. It is usually administrated in the form of its acetate, propionate, or isobutyrate esters. Since Testosterone is normally produced in all mammalian species, it is always present in plasma of untreated animals but in a wide range of concentrations. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 2.5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
