Thioredoxin (TRDX, TRX 1, TRX1, TRX-1, TXN, TXN Protein, ATL-derived Factor, ADF, DKFZp686B1993, MGC61975, Surface-associated Sulfydryl Protein, SASP) (Azide Free)
Description:
Thioredoxin is a 12-kD oxidoreductase enzyme containing a dithiol-disulfide active site. It is ubiquitous and found in many organisms from plants and bacteria to mammals. Multiple in vitro substrates for thioredoxin have been identified, including ribonuclease, choriogonadotropins, coagulation factors, glucocorticoid receptor, and insulin. Reduction of insulin is classically used as an activity test.[supplied by OMIM]

Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: 1ug/ml-3ng/ml
Western Blot: 1:500-1:1,000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
