Human thymus-expressed chemokine (TECK), a 14.2kD protein containing 127 amino acid residues, is a novel CC chemokine that was identified in the thymus of mouse and human. TECK shows chemotactic activity for activated macrophages, dendritic cells and thymocytes. Source: E.coli Form: Sterile filtered and lyophilized without additives. Stability: Lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature, is best stored desiccated below 0°C. Reconstituted TECK should be stored in working aliquots at -20°C. Purity: 98% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analysis. Endotoxin: 0.1 ng/ug (1EU/ug) Reconstitution: Lyophilized human TECK is soluble in water and most aqueous buffers and can be reconstituted in water to a concentration of 0.1–1.0mg/ml. This solution can be diluted into other buffered solutions or stored frozen for future use. Biological Activity: The biological activity of human TECK was determined by a chemotaxis assay using human monocytes. Significant chemotaxis was achieved at a concentration range of 1.0–10.0 ng/ml. Molecular Weight: 14.2kD |
