Description: This gene encodes a DNA topoisomerase, an enzyme that controls and alters the topologic states of DNA during transcription. This enzyme catalyzes the transient breaking and rejoining of a single strand of DNA which allows the strands to pass through one another, thus altering the topology of DNA. This gene is localized to chromosome 20 and has pseudogenes which reside on chromosomes 1 and 22. [provided by RefSeq] Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry (paraffin), and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1.5ug/ml Western Blot: 1:500-1:1,000 ELISA: 1ug/ml-3ng/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
