Description: TIFA is a 184aa tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor 6 (TRAF)-interacting protein consisting of a forkhead-associated (FHA) domain that binds phosphothreonine, phosphoserine and a consensus TRAF6-binding motif. It activates NF-kB and c-JUN N-terminal kinase (JNK) and induces the oligomerization and polyubiquitination of TRAF6, which in turn activates TAK1 and IKK through a proteasome-independent mechanism. It acts as an adapter protein that links tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor 6 (TRAF6) to interleukin-1 (IL-1) receptor-associated kinase-1 (IRAK-1) in IL-1 receptor signaling. It is expressed widely in tumor cells. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:100-1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
