Transferrin (TF, Beta-1 Metal-binding Globulin, Serotransferrin, Siderophilin)
Description:
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunoelectrophoresis and Radial Immunodiffusion. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Immunoelectrophoresis: 120ul against 2ul serum or equivalent
Double Radial Immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony): Use a rosette arrangement with 10ul in a 3mm diameter center well and 2ul serum samples (neat and serially diluted) in 2mm diameter peripheral wells.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder. Reconstitute in 1ml sterile ddH2O. Dilute further in PBS, pH 7.2.
Specificity:
Recognizes porcine transferrin. A characteristic single precipitin line is obtained with normal serum which shows a reaction of identity with the precipitin line with purified transferrin. Species Crossreactivity: bovine, feline, chicken, canine, duck, guinea pig, hamster, equine, human, monkey, mouse, pigeon, rat, sheep, turkey
Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
