Technical Data
T8199-04B
Transferrin (TF, Apotransferrin, Beta-1 Metal-binding Globulin, PRO1400, PRO1557, PRO2086, Serotransferrin, Siderophilin)
Description:
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunoelectrophoresis and Immunodiffusion. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Immunoelectrophoresis: 120ul against 2ul serum or equivalent
Double Radial Immunodiffusion: Use a rosette arrangement with 10ul in 3mm diameter
center well and 2ul serum samples (neat and serially diluted) in 2mm diameter peripheral wells.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Immunogen:
Purified transferrin isolated from pooled human serum
Purity:

Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, pH 7.2. Preservative free. Reconstitute with 1ml sterile ddH2O. Dilute further in PBS, pH 7.2.
Specificity:
Recognizes human transferrin as tested in immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion. A characteristic single precipitin line is obtained with normal serum which shows a reaction of identity with the precipitin line with purified transferrin. A weak reaction has been observed with rat and rabbit in immunoelectrophoresis.
Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
