Recombinant Rat TNF-alpha is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 157aa and having a molecular weight of 17.33kD. The sequence of the first five N-terminal aa was determined to be Met-Leu-Arg-Ser-Ser. Contains less than 1% dimers and aggregates. Source: E. coli Molecular Weight: ~17.33kD Biological Activity: The ED50 as determined by the cytolysis of murine L929 cells in the presence of Actinomycin D is <0.05ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 5x10e7 IU/mg. Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O, 0.1% HSA or BSA. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
