Tumor Necrosis Factor-b (TNF-b) is a potent lymphoid factor which exerts cytotoxic effects on a wide range of tumor cells and certain other target cells. Human TNF-b is a 18.6kD protein containing 171 amino acid residues. Source: E. coli Form: Lyophilized from a sterile filtered solution in PBS, pH 7.2, 20mM sodium chloride. Purity: 98% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC. Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug Reconstitution: Reconstitute in sterile dH2O to a concentration of 0.1-1mg/ml. This solution can be diluted into other buffered solutions or stored at -20°C for future use. Recommended Dilution: 0.05-10 ng/ml for most in vitro applications. Biological Activity: The ED50 as determined by the cytolysis of murine L929 cells in the presence of Actinomycin-D is < 0.05ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 2x10e7 units/mg. Responding Cells (partial list): Tumor cells, certain other cells. Concentration Range for most in vitro applications: 0.1-10ng/ml Country of Origin: USA Molecular Weight: 18.6kD |
