Recombinant Human TNF-b is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 171aa and having a molecular weight of 18.6kD. The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined to be Met-Val-Arg-Ser-Ser. Contains less than 1% dimers and aggregates.

Biological Activity:
The ED50 as determined by the cytolysis of mouse L929 cells in the presence of Actinomycin D is <0.05ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 2x10e7IU/mg.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O, 0.1% HSA or BSA. Aliquot and store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
