Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Associated Factor 6, NT (TRAF-6)
Description:
Tumour-necrosis factor (TNF) receptor-associated factor 6 (TRAF6) is the only TRAF family member that participates in signal transduction of both the TNF receptor superfamily and the interleukin-1 receptor /Toll-like receptor superfamily. Acting as an adapter protein and a signal transducer, TRAF6 links members of the TNF receptor family to different signaling pathways by association with the receptor cytoplasmic domain and kinases. (1-2). TRAF6 stimulates NFkB through interaction with CD40, TNFR, IL-1R, p75 NTR, and TRANCE receptor. Additionally, o verexpression of TRAF6 is sufficient to activate signaling pathways leading to NF-B and AP-1 in the absence of extracellular stimuli (3-5).

Applications:
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Western Blotting, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Flow Cytometry: 1:50
Western Blotting: 1:2,000-10,000 (58kD)
Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-100
Immunocytochemistry: 1:250-500
Immunoprecipitation: 1:50 1ug/mg of total cell protein (~10e7 cells)

Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
