Vascular Endothelial Cell Growth Factor (VEGF) is a secreted homodimeric protein secreted by a variety of vascularized tissues. The reported activities of VEGF include stimulation of endothelial cell growth, angiogenesis, and capillary permeability. Human VEGF is a 38.2kD protein consisting of two 165 amino acid polypeptide chains.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Best if stored at -20°C. Reconstituted VEGF should be stored in working aliquots at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
