VEGF (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor) is a homodimeric protein secreted by a variety of vascularized tissues. VEGF stimulates endothelial cell growth, angiogenesis, and capillary permeability. Murine VEGF is a 39kD homodimeric protein consisting of two 165 amino acid polypeptide chains. Source: E.coli Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug Biological Activity: Determined by the mitogenic activity on human umbilical vein endothelial cells and bovine aortic endothelial cells. Mitogenic activity was obtained for stimulation of 3H-thymidine incorporation and cell proliferation in a concentration range of 1-5ng/ml. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O, aliquot and store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Molecular Weight: 39kD |
Source: E. coli Purity: 98% (SDS-PAGE and HPLC) Form: Supplied as a lyophilized powder. Reconstitute in ddH2O to 0.1-1mg/ml.
