Recombinant VEGFR-1 comprises a 298 amino acid fragment (31-328) corresponding to the IgG- like domains 1-3 from the mature soluble VEGFR protein. VEGF-R1 is expressed in E. coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag. VEGFR-1 belongs to a family of five receptor tyrosine kinase receptors that are specific to a number of angiogenic factors including VEGF and PDGF, and are therefore thought to play a role in the angiogenic process. VEGFR-1 is expressed in two forms, predominantly on endothelial cells, giving rise to a full-length membrane bound receptor and a truncated soluble receptor. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
