The vesicular monoamine transporter is responsible for the vesicular uptake of monoamines, like dopamine, norepinephrine, epinephrine, serotonin and histamine.

Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence Microscopy and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:2000-1:3000 using FITC secondary antibody; Incubation overnight at 4C. 10-100ug immunogen per ml diluted antiserum abolishes staining.
Immunofluorescence Microscopy: 1:2000-1:3000
Western Blot: 1:500; Using a crude synaptic vesicle fraction of rat brain, a 70kD band is recognized.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Synthetic peptide (CQSYPIGDDEESESD-OH) from the C-terminus of rat VMAT2 (BSA).
Supplied as a lyophilized powder. Reconstitute with 50ul of sterile 40-50% glycerol, ddH2O. Dilute further with PBS, 1% BSA and 0.09% sodium azide.
Recognizes rat monoaminergic neurons of the CNS, the ECL-cells of the stomach, as well as enteric nerve fibers. Species Crossreactivity: Human mouse and porcine.
