Description: The vesicular monoamine transporter is responsible for the vesicular uptake of monoamines, like dopamine, norepinephrine, epinephrine, serotonin and histamine. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence Microscopy and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:2000-1:3000 using FITC secondary antibody; Incubation overnight at 4°C. 10-100ug immunogen per ml diluted antiserum abolishes staining. Immunofluorescence Microscopy: 1:2000-1:3000 Western Blot: 1:500; Using a crude synaptic vesicle fraction of rat brain, a 70kD band is recognized. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Positive Control: IHC-T5595-7163: Rat small intestine Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
