Wnt5A (Protein Wnt-5a) |
|
|
Description: Wnt-5a is a 49kD glycoprotein member of the Wnt family of developmental proteins. It is considered a class 3 Wnt based on its lack of transforming activity on C57MG cells. Genetic deletion of Wnt-5a interferes with developmental proximal-distal outgrowth of limbs and other structures. Wnt-5a can activate or inhibit b-catenin signaling depending on receptor context. Mature mouse Wnt-5a is a 342aa protein that contains 24 cysteines and four potential N-linked glycosylation sites. Mature mouse, rat and human Wnt-5a share 99% aa identity. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:10,000 Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000 Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 1:200-1:400 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
