The recombinant YFP (Yellow Fluorescent Protein) is expressed and purified from transformed E. coli using a method that ensures high purity and maximal YFP fluorescence. Endotoxin has been removed, so the protein is suitable for in vivo injection or cell culture applications. The protein is a 26.4kD monomer with 238 amino acids, Ex./Em. = 525/538 nm, extinction coefficient 27390. Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Molecular Weight: 26.4kDa |
Source: E. coli Purity: ~97% (SDS-PAGE, HPLC) Form: Supplied as a lyophilized powder. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O to a concentration of 1mg/ml. Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
