GJC2 is a gap junction protein. Gap junction proteins are members of a large family of homologous connexins and comprise 4 transmembrane, 2 extracellular, and 3 cytoplasmic domains. This gene plays a key role in central myelination and is involved in peripheral myelination in humans. Defects in this gene are the cause of autosomal recessive Pelizaeus-Merzbacher-like disease-1.

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100~500
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
GJC2 Mab is generated from mice immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide selected from the N-term region of human GJC2.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation.
