Rabbit Anti-CEACAM6, ID (CEACAM6, NCA, Carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 6, Non-specific crossreacting antigen, Normal cross-reacting antigen, CD66c)
CEACAM6, NCA, Carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 6, Non-specific crossreacting antigen, Normal cross-reacting antigen, CD66c

Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA; MIM 114890) is one of the most widely used tumor markers in serum immunoassay determinations of carcinoma. An apparent lack of absolute cancer specificity for CEA probably results in part from the presence in normal and neoplastic tissues of antigens that share antigenic determinants with the 180-kD form of CEA (Barnett et al., 1988 [PubMed 3220478]). For background information on the CEA family of genes, see CEACAM1 (MIM 109770).

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution
Western Blot: 1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide mapping to a fragment of residues within amino acids 188-214 in the cental region of human CEACAM6, UniProt Accession #P40199; NP_002474.3.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by Protein A and peptide affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human CEACAM6.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
