Rabbit Anti-DCK, CT (DCK, Deoxycytidine kinase)
DCK, Deoxycytidine kinase

Deoxycytidine kinase is responsible for the phosphorylation of several deoxyribonucleosides and their analogs. Deficiency of this enzyme activity is associated with resistance to antiviral and anticancer chemotherapeutic agents, whereas increased enzyme activity is associated with increased activation of these compounds to cytotoxic nucleoside triphosphate derivatives. It is the rate limiting enzyme in the activation of many important anticancer and retroviral drugs and its activity is often decreased in cells that are resistant to cytosine arabinoside.

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation and ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Western Blot: 1:1000 Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1:10-1:50 Immunofluorescence: 1:10-1:50 Immunoprecipitation: 1:500-1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide mapping to a fragment of residues within amino acids 171-200 in the C-terminal region of human DCK.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation.
Specificity
Recognizes human DCK. Species Crossreactivity: mouse
