Rabbit Anti-DCT, ID (DCT, TYRP2, L-dopachrome tautomerase, L-dopachrome Delta-isomerase, Tyrosinase-related protein 2)
DCT, TYRP2, L-dopachrome tautomerase, L-dopachrome Delta-isomerase, Tyrosinase-related protein 2
Applications
Involved in regulating eumelanin and phaeomelanin levels. The tyrosinase family in vertebrates consists of three related melanogenic enzymes: tryrosinase, tyrosinase-related protein-1 (TRP-1) and tyrosinase-related protein-2 (TRP-2). These proteins control melanin production in pigment cells and play a crucial role in determining vertebrate coloration and are expressed by melanoma cells, normal melanocytes and nevi, but not carcinomas or sarcomas. Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-500
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
DCT antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 285-314 amino acids from the Central region of human DCT.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
