Rabbit Anti-DDC, NT (DDC, AADC, Aromatic-L-amino-acid decarboxylase, DOPA decarboxylase)
DDC, AADC, Aromatic-L-amino-acid decarboxylase, DOPA decarboxylase

This protein catalyzes the decarboxylation of L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (DOPA) to dopamine, L-5-hydroxytryptophan to serotonin and L-tryptophan to tryptamine. Defects in this gene are the cause of aromatic L-amino-acid decarboxylase deficiency (AADCD). AADCD deficiency is an inborn error in neurotransmitter metabolism that leads to combined serotonin and catecholamine deficiency.

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence, Indirect Flow Cytometry and ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Western Blot: 1:1000 Immunofluorescence: 1:10-1:50 Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1:50-1:100 Flow Cytometry (Indirect): 1:10-1:50 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide mapping to a fragment of residues within amino acids 32-61 in the N-terminal region of human DDC.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by Protein A and peptide affinity chromatography.
