Rabbit Anti-ELOVL2, NT (ELOVL2, SSC2, Elongation of very long chain fatty acids protein 2, 3-keto acyl-CoA synthase ELOVL2, ELOVL fatty acid elongase 2) (APC)
ELOVL2, SSC2, Elongation of very long chain fatty acids protein 2, 3-keto acyl-CoA synthase ELOVL2, ELOVL fatty acid elongase 2

ELOVL2 could be implicated in tissue-specific synthesis of very long chain fatty acids and sphingolipids. This protein may catalyze one or both of the reduction reaction in fatty acid elongation, i.e., conversion of beta-ketoacyl CoA to beta-hydroxyacyl CoA or reduction of trans-2-enoyl CoA to the saturated acyl CoA derivative (By similarity).

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry (Not Tested) and FLISA. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution
Immunohistochemistry: Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide mapping to a fragment of residues within amino acids 1-27 in the N-terminal region of human ELOVL2. Species sequence homology: mouse
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. Labeled with Allophycocyanin (APC).
Purity
Purified by Protein A and peptide affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human ELOVL2.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
