Rabbit Anti-GALR1, ID (GALR1, GALNR, GALNR1, Galanin receptor type 1)
GALR1, GALNR, GALNR1, Galanin receptor type 1

GALR1 elicits a range of biological effects by interaction with specific G-protein-coupled receptors. Galanin receptors are seven-transmembrane proteins shown to activate a variety of intracellular second-messenger pathways. GALR1 inhibits adenylyl cyclase via a G protein of the Gi/Go family. GALR1 is widely expressed in the brain and spinal cord, as well as in peripheral sites such as the small intestine and heart.

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Indirect Flow Cytometry and ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Western Blot: 1:1000 Indirect Flow Cytometry: 1:10-1:50 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide mapping to a fragment of residues within amino acids 174-200 in the central region of human GALR1.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by Protein A and peptide affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human GALR1.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
