Rabbit Anti-ITGAE, CT (ITGAE, Integrin alpha-E, HML-1 antigen, Integrin alpha-IEL, Mucosal lymphocyte 1 antigen, CD103, Integrin alpha-E light chain, Integrin alpha-E heavy chain) (FITC)
ITGAE, Integrin alpha-E, HML-1 antigen, Integrin alpha-IEL, Mucosal lymphocyte 1 antigen, CD103, Integrin alpha-E light chain, Integrin alpha-E heavy chain

Integrins are heterodimeric integral membrane proteins composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain. ITGAE encodes an I-domain-containing alpha integrin that undergoes post-translational cleavage in the extracellular domain, yielding disulfide-linked heavy and light chains. In combination with the beta 7 integrin, this protein forms the E-cadherin binding integrin known as the human mucosal lymphocyte-1 antigen. This protein is preferentially expressed in human intestinal intraepithelial lymphocytes (IEL), and in addition to a role in adhesion, it may serve as an accessory molecule for IEL activation. Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot and FLISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide mapping to a fragment of residues within amino acids 1146-1173 from the C-terminal region of human ITGAE, UniProt Accession #P38570
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. No preservative added. Labeled with Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC).
Purity
Purified by Protein A and peptide affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human ITGAE.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
