MAFA is a transcription factor that binds RIPE3b, a conserved enhancer element that regulates pancreatic beta cell-specific expression of the insulin gene.

Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
MAFA antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 288~318 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human MAFA.

Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by saturated ammonium sulfate precipitation followed by dialysis against PBS.
