PRDX6, AOP2, KIAA0106, Peroxiredoxin-6, 1-Cys peroxiredoxin, 24kD protein, Acidic calcium-independent phospholipase A2, Antioxidant protein 2, Liver 2D page spot 40, Non-selenium glutathione peroxidase, Red blood cells page spot 12
PRDX6 is a member of the thiol-specific antioxidant protein family. This protein is a bifunctional enzyme with two distinct active sites. It is involved in redox regulation of the cell; it can reduce H(2)O(2) and short chain organic, fatty acid, and phospholipid hydroperoxides. It may play a role in the regulation of phospholipid turnover as well as in protection against oxidative injury.
Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry (Not Tested) and FLISA. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution
Immunohistochemistry: Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide mapping to a fragment of residues within amino acids 103-132 amino acids from the central region of human PRDX6. Species sequence homology: bovine, monkey, rat
