Rabbit Anti-PRSS8, ID (PRSS8, Prostasin, Serine protease 8, Prostasin light chain, Prostasin heavy chain)
PRSS8, Prostasin, Serine protease 8, Prostasin light chain, Prostasin heavy chain

This gene encodes a trypsinogen, which is a member of the trypsin family of serine proteases. This enzyme is highly expressed in prostate epithelia and is one of several proteolytic enzymes found in seminal fluid. The proprotein is cleaved to produce a light chain and a heavy chain which are associated by a disulfide bond. It is active on peptide linkages involving the carboxyl group of lysine or arginine.

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution
Western Blot: 1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide mapping to a fragment of residues within amino acids 190-219 in the central region of human PRSS8, UniProt Accession #Q16651.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by Protein A and peptide affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human PRSS8.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
