Rabbit Anti-TNFAIP8, NT (TNFAIP8, Tumor necrosis factor alpha-induced protein 8, Head and neck tumor and metastasis-related protein, MDC-3.13, NF-kappa-B-inducible DED-containing protein, SCC-S2, TNF-induced protein GG2-1) (FITC)
TNFAIP8, Tumor necrosis factor alpha-induced protein 8, Head and neck tumor and metastasis-related protein, MDC-3.13, NF-kappa-B-inducible DED-containing protein, SCC-S2, TNF-induced protein GG2-1

Acts as a negative mediator of apoptosis and may play a role in tumor progression. Suppresses the TNF-mediated apoptosis by inhibiting caspase-8 activity but not the processing of procaspase-8, subsequently resulting in inhibition of BID cleavage and caspase-3 activation.

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot and FLISA. Other potential application, though not tested is Direct Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide mapping to a fragment of residues within amino acids 50-78 in the N-terminal region of human TNFAIP8. Species Sequence Homology: bovine
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. No preservative added. Labeled with Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC).
Purity
Purified by Protein A and peptide affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human TNFAIP8.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
