Rabbit Anti-TNFAIP8, NT (TNFAIP8, Tumor necrosis factor alpha-induced protein 8, Head and neck tumor and metastasis-related protein, MDC-3.13, NF-kappa-B-inducible DED-containing protein, SCC-S2, TNF-induced protein GG2-1)
TNFAIP8, Tumor necrosis factor alpha-induced protein 8, Head and neck tumor and metastasis-related protein, MDC-3.13, NF-kappa-B-inducible DED-containing protein, SCC-S2, TNF-induced protein GG2-1

Acts as a negative mediator of apoptosis and may play a role in tumor progression. Suppresses the TNF-mediated apoptosis by inhibiting caspase-8 activity but not the processing of procaspase-8, subsequently resulting in inhibition of BID cleavage and caspase-3 activation.

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Indirect Flow Cytometry and ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Western Blot: 1:1000 Indirect Flow Cytometry: 1:10-1:50 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide mapping to a fragment of residues within amino acids 50-78 in the N-terminal region of human TNFAIP8. Species Sequence Homology: bovine.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by Protein A and peptide affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human TNFAIP8.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
