Mouse Anti-BDH1 (D-beta-hydroxybutyrate Dehydrogenase, Mitochondrial, BDH, 3-hydroxybutyrate Dehydrogenase)

BDH1 (3-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase, type 1), it is a member of the short-chain dehydrogenase/reductase gene family. This protein forms a homotetrameric lipid-requiring enzyme of the mitochondrial membrane and has a specific requirement for phosphatidylcholine for optimal enzymatic activity. It catalyzes the interconversion of acetoacetate and (R)-3-hydroxybutyrate, the two major ketone bodies produced during fatty acid catabolism.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Immunogen
Full length recombinant corresponding to aa1-343 from human BDH1 (AAH11964) with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26kD.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2.
Purity
Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human BDH1. Species Crossreactivity: mouse.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
