Mouse Anti-CADPS2 (Calcium-dependent Secretion Activator 2, Calcium-dependent Activator Protein for Secretion 2, CAPS-2, CAPS2, KIAA1591) (APC)
Calcium-binding protein involved in exocytosis of vesicles filled with neurotransmitters and neuropeptides. Probably acts upstream of fusion in the biogenesis or maintenance of mature secretory vesicles. Regulates neurotrophin release from granule cells leading to regulate cell differentiation and survival during cerebellar development. May specifically mediate the Ca2+-dependent exocytosis of large dense-core vesicles (DCVs) and other dense-core vesicles.
Applications
Suitable for use in FLISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
Partial recombinant corresponding to aa285-383 from human CAPS2 (NP_115995) with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26kD.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. Labeled with Allophycocyanin (APC).
Purity
Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human CAPS2.
