Cyr61 (Cysteine-rich angiogenic inducer 61), also known as IGFBP-10 and CCN1, is a 42kD secreted matrix- and cell-associated glycoprotein that regulates the growth and adhesion of vascular endothelial cells, fibroblasts, and monocytes. Cyr61 interacts with cells that express integrins avb3, avb5, amb5 and a6b1. Cyr61 is cleaved by plasmin within its VWF domain which generates an N-terminal fragment that is not associated with the matrix but retains the ability to induce endothelial cell migration. Cyr61 induces VEGF upregulation, angiogenesis, and tumorigenesis. Mature human Cyr61 shares 93% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat Cyr61. Cyr61 expression appears to be unregulated in breast cancer cells with high levels of heregulin.

Suitable for use in FLISA. Other applications not tested.

Sandwich FLISA: The detection limit is ~1ng/ml as a capture antibody. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™550 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.

Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.

Full length recombinant protein corresponding to aa25-381 from human CYR61 (AAH16952.1) with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26kD.
