Mouse Anti-DDX1 (DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) Box Polypeptide 1, DEAD Box protein 1, DBP-RB, DEAD Box Protein-Retinoblastoma DDX-1, UKVH5d) (HRP)
DEAD box proteins, characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD), are putative RNA helicases. They are implicated in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly. Based on their distribution patterns, some members of this family are believed to be involved in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division. This gene encodes a DEAD box protein of unknown function. It shows high transcription levels in 2 retinoblastoma cell lines and in tissues of neuroectodermal origin.
Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Sandwich ELISA: The detection limit is ~10ng/ml as a capture antibody. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
Partial recombinant corresponding to aa642-740 from human DDX1 (NP_004930) with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26kD.
