Mouse Anti-FBXO2 (F-box Only Protein 2, FBX2, Fbg1, FBG1, Nfb42, NFB42, OCP1)

FBXO2 is a member of the F-box protein family which is characterized by an approximately 40aa motif, the F-box. The F-box proteins constitute one of the four subunits of the ubiquitin protein ligase complex called SCFs (SKP1-cullin-F-box), which function in phosphorylation-dependent ubiquitination. The F-box proteins are divided into 3 classes: Fbws containing WD-40 domains, Fbls containing leucine-rich repeats, and Fbxs containing either different protein-protein interaction modules or no recognizable motifs. FBXO2 belongs to the Fbxs class. This protein is highly similar to the rat NFB42 (neural F Box 42kD) protein which is enriched in the nervous system and may play a role in maintaining neurons in a postmitotic state.

Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Full length recombinant corresponding to aa1-297 from human FBXO2 (AAH25233) with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26kD.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2.
Purity
Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human FBXO2.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
