Mouse Anti-FGF5 (Fibroblast Growth Factor 5, FGF-5, Heparin-binding Growth Factor 5, HBGF-5, Smag-82)
Plays an important role in the regulation of cell proliferation and cell differentiation. Required for normal regulation of the hair growth cycle. Functions as an inhibitor of hair elongation by promoting progression from anagen, the growth phase of the hair follicle, into catagen the apoptosis-induced regression phase.
Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Partial recombinant corresponding to aa159-268 from human FGF5 (NP_004455.2) with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26kD.
