Mouse Anti-GTF2IRD1 (General Transcription Factor II-I Repeat Domain-containing Protein 1, GTF2I Repeat Domain-containing Protein 1, General Transcription Factor III, MusTRD1/BEN, Muscle TFII-I Repeat Domain-containing Protein 1, Slow-muscle-fiber Enhancer-binding Protein, USE B1-binding Protein, Williams-Beuren Syndrome Chromosomal Region 11 Protein, Williams-Beuren Syndrome Chromosomal Region 12 Protein, CREAM1, GTF3, MUSTRD1, RBAP2, WBSCR11, WBSCR12) (FITC)
The protein encoded by this gene contains five GTF2I-like repeats and each repeat possesses a potential helix-loop-helix (HLH) motif. It may have the ability to interact with other HLH-proteins and function as a transcription factor or as a positive transcriptional regulator under the control of Retinoblastoma protein. This gene plays a role in craniofacial and cognitive development and mutations have been associated with Williams-Beuren syndrome, a multisystem developmental disorder caused by deletion of multiple genes at 7q11.23. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq].

Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
Partial recombinant corresponding to aa431-530 from GTF2IRD1 (NP_005676) with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26kD.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. No preservative added. Labeled with Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC).
Purity
Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human GTF2IRD1.
