Mouse Anti-HABP2 (Hyaluronan-binding Protein 2, Factor VII-activating Protease, Factor Seven-activating Protease, FSAP, HGFAL, PHBP, Hepatocyte Growth Factor Activator-like Protein, Plasma Hyaluronan-binding Protein) (HRP)
HABP2 is an extracellular serine protease that binds hyaluronic acid and is involved in cell adhesion. The encoded protein is synthesized as a single chain, but then undergoes an autoproteolytic event to form the functional heterodimer. Further autoproteolysis leads to smaller, inactive peptides. This protease is known to cleave urinary plasminogen activator, coagulation factor VII, and the alpha and beta chains of fibrinogen, but not prothrombin, plasminogen, or the gamma chain of fibrinogen. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.

Partial recombinant protein corresponding to aa105-204 from human HABP2 with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26kD.
