Mouse Anti-LRP (Major Vault Protein, Lung Resistance-related Protein, MVP) (Biotin)
MVP, the major vault protein, is a lung resistance-related protein. Vaults are multi-subunit structures that may be involved in nucleo-cytoplasmic transport. This protein mediates drug resistance, perhaps via a transport process. It is widely distributed in normal tissues, and overexpressed in multidrug-resistant cancer cells. The protein overexpression is a potentially useful marker of clinical drug resistance.
Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 3ug/ml Immunofluorescence: 10ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.

Full length recombinant corresponding to aa1-893 from MVP (AAH15623) with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26kD.
