Rabbit Anti-PPEF1 (PPEF-1, Serine/Threonine Protein Phosphatase with EF-hands-1, Protein Phosphatase with EF Calcium-binding Domain, PPEF, Serine/Threonine-protein Phosphatase 7, PP7, PPEF, PPP7C) (HRP)

This gene encodes a member of the serine/threonine protein phosphatase with EF-hand motif family. The protein contains a protein phosphatase catalytic domain, and at least two EF-hand calcium-binding motifs in its C terminus. Although its substrate(s) is unknown, the encoded protein has been suggested to play a role in specific sensory neuron function and/or development. This gene shares high sequence similarity with the Drosophila retinal degeneration C (rdgC) gene. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants, each encoding a distinct isoform, have been described.

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
Full length human PPEF1, aa1-653 (NP_006231.2).
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. No preservative added. Labeled with horseradish peroxidase (HRP).
Purity
Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human PPEF1.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
