Mouse Anti-SLC5A2 (SGLT2, Sodium/Glucose Cotransporter 2, Low Affinity Sodium-glucose Cotransporter, Solute Carrier Family 5 Member 2)

This gene encodes a member of the sodium glucose cotransporter family which are sodium-dependent glucose transport proteins. The encoded protein is the major cotransporter involved in glucose reabsorption in the kidney. Mutations in this gene are associated with renal glucosuria.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Recombinant protein fragment corresponding to amino acids 228-277 of human SLC5A2 with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26kD.
