Mouse Anti-SNAPC 5 (Small Nuclear RNA Activating Complex Polypeptide 5 19kDa, snRNA Activating Protein Complex Subunit 5, SNAPc Subunit 5, SNAPC5, snRNA-activating Protein Complex 19kD Subunit, SNAPc 19kD Subunit, SNAP19) (APC)
SNAPC5 is a subunit of the SNAPc complex required for the transcription of both RNA polymerase II and III small-nuclear RNA genes. SNAPC5 binds to the proximal sequence element (PSE) common to the promotor regions of these 2 types of genes, and recruits TBP and BRF2 to the U6 snRNA TATA box.
